Behind the Glass: Spencer Finch

Spencer Finch uses poetry, art history, history and science to investigate the mechanics of perception. In locations all over the world including the ancient city of Troy (in present-day Turkey); Rouen, France; Monument Valley, Utah; and Emily Dickinson’s home in Amherst, Massachusetts—he has attempted to capture the indescribable qualities of light, color, and reflection.
